Hi I'm Bonnie Tiburzi Caputo and I've decided to write a blog . How fun will this be. I am a retired Captain from a major commercial airline and if you are over the age of 50 you have probably flown
with me. I hope you'll join me while I explore the bloggersphere and will find my blog inspirational, fun and a great ride. So buckle up!

The Museum of flight in Seattle is buying the Lockheed Electra (I believe) CN 1015 -- the same aircraft that was a part of Tiburzi Airways in the 1950s. Nice to see it's getting a new home.

Awesome, Bonnie! I'm so glad to have happened upon your blog. Your book, Takeoff! has been a favorite of mine and a permanent addition to my library since I was in elementary school. You're a hero to me and all other aspiring female aviators.
ReplyDeleteThe Seattle Museum of Flight has recently acquired Lockheed Electra c/n 1015. The museum has commissioned a series of models depicting the various schemes it has had throughout its career. I've been commissioned to build a model representing the various private owners. The private owners will be represented by the Tiburzi Airways livery. Bonnie, do you have any color photos of the Tiburzi aircraft you would be willing to share for this project? If not, what were the colors? I have one photograph which I am going by. You help will be appreciated. John Newcome nieuport28@yahoo.com
